Clearance Days at Target

Posted by: TRochelle in , , ,

When is the best time to shop? This is a major question on the minds of many readers. Sales and deals follow a distinct schedule. I am a huge Target fan. The main reason I love Target is the fact that they have one of the best clearance sections ever. What does this have to do with the best time to shop? Since I am slowly getting rid of the forum, I decided to post my Target Clearance Schedule:

Mondays ~ Childrens, Electronics, Stationary
Tuesdays ~ Women's, Pets, Market, Domestics
Wednesdays ~Men's, Toys, Lawn/Garden, Toys, HBA
Thursdays ~ Shoes, Sporting Goods, Lingerie
Fridays ~ Jewelry, Automotive, Cosmetics, Hardware

Another Target keeper is their coupon policy along with their price match policy.

Christmas Deals in the Making

Posted by: TRochelle in , , , , , , , , ,

Here lately, every time I decide to make a post something new inspires me. Christmas shoppers may want to get their pens and pencils ready.

Let's dive right in shall we. First deal that caught my eye was a travel game. This is great for stocking stuffers, gifts, donating, or just to sit and play during down time. Target has travel size Hungry Hippos games for $4.99. There is a $4.00 off internet printable coupon and that price transforms to $0.99. Click here!

The next awesome deal I ran across was the $10 off $10 purchase at Sears. There shipping is not cheap so I would not advise ordering online without a free shipping code.
For a free shipping code, I suggest trying Retail Me Not.

Another great deal for someone who needs or wants to purchase something for a child is the LeapFrog Fridge Talk Magnetic Wordplay Recorder. It is priced at $20.00 but if you check the price you will see its a whopping $5.00. There is a $4.00 off Leapfrog Fridge Toy coupon available online. Yes, you guessed it. It only costs $1.00 when you are all done. Click here!

Now its time that we get to some of my absolute favorite deals. Its hard to call these favorites when the other two were so awesome. Amazon is selling fleece hoodies for larger gentlemen or ladies if you don't mind wearing a nice cozy fleece hoodie. The price is amazing for the size. The sizes range from 3-5X! Talk about cozy. Click here to get your hoodie for only $6.99!!!

Another great deal is one that Erica from I heart Wags. This lady is amazing. I do not know how she finds all this information but she must have halo to match each outfit. Erica has provided her blog fans with a preview of a portion of the Walgreens Black Friday Ad. This information is golden to a serious coupon addict such as myself. I will know to hold on to certain coupons based upon what she has provided. She did this earlier in the week but I think this is a great time to add them to the list of deals.
Here goes:
Dove Smooth Deodorant $3.99 get $3.99 RR
Johnson’s Melt Away Body Wash $4.99 get $4.99 RR
Nivea Men’s Shave Gel $2.49 get $2.49 RR
Right Guard Solid $2.49 get $2.49 RR

Now for the best deal of the day. This deal actually needs no serious introduction. Its a website. I did not realize until I watched the news tonight, but there is an amazing site with deals on everything from dry goods to 60 inch LCD televisions for pennies on the dollar. The worst part is the website's warehouse is local and I can pick up whatever I purchase. Its an amazing site. A gentleman on my local news purchased a 60' LCD television for $400. Now how would you like to see that under the Christmas tree. Go and check it out here!

****This just added, thanks to Kim@ The Work at Home Mafia just gave me an awesome lead on an awesome deal! $10 off any $10 purchase today at JCPenney. You have to use the code ENJOY10. Shipping starts at $4.50 but they do have some great clearance deals!

Target Price Match Guarantee

Posted by: TRochelle in , , ,

What's more fun than making stores battle for your business? Walmart learned the money making possibilities with price comparison and now Target has joined the ride.

Target now offers a Low Price Promise to customers. It states that "Target stores nationwide will match advertised prices from competitors on identical items in local markets".
Some areas have enjoyed the Low Price Promise since March of this year. If your area was not included, you will enjoy this perks of this option from here on out.

If its still a bit confusing, I will explain further. If you find a product or item at another store and its being offered at a price less than the price at Target, Target will match that price dollar for dollar. The only requirements are that the products match exactly. You must make sure the model number matches the product you are looking at in the competition's ad or store.

There is a long list of exemptions for the Low Price Promise. A few situations that are not valid for the Low Price Promise are:

  • Target.com or online retail promotion
  • Competitor’s Free Product
  • GiftCards
  • Limited quantity items
  • Open box or damaged
  • Clearance or closeout
  • Mail-in offers
  • Services (warranties, assembly, etc.)
  • Bundle offers
  • Special order
  • Sales-tax promotions
  • Liquidation/going out of business
  • Special financing
  • Coupons
  • Used or previously owned
  • Display merchandise
  • Pricing or typographical errors
  • Club or loyalty

Kellogg's Promotion Redbox Codes

Let's talk promotions. Those who are advanced deal seekers follow product promotions religiously. Whether it be a promotion on the back of a cereal box or a promotion involving the manufacturer directly, promotions are profitable. I realized that I have not been tracking the promotions as closely as I should but I am making changes add so will the blog. I am going to put more emphasis on promotions like the gift card promotions at Target and deals like the current Kelloggs promotion.

We discussed Target yesterday but today I want to discuss the HOT new Kelloggs promotion! Kelloggs is offering a $10 Rebate for purchasing 10 select Kelloggs products. They are also offering a $70 coupon code from Dell! This is an amazing deal. Over the weekend I purchased 23 boxes of cereal from Albertsons for 99cents and less. Needless to say, my deal is done! There is still time for those of you who want to get in on this deal. The Albertson's ad does not end until Tuesday night. If Albertsons is not your favorite place, then get in now on the Target deal I posted yesterday. You can get a box of cereal for $1.88 and if you are like me and still had some $1 off coupons, then you only pay $.88 a box!

Scheduling is Key

Posted by: TRochelle in , , , , ,

Who doesn't love a schedule? Sometimes they are tough to follow but when it comes to a schedule as reference, there is nothing better!

I was looking at my day of disarray and I got to thinking about how important it is to keep on schedule. When it comes to being frugal, a schedule is a must have. Many stores (department as well as grocery) have sales schedules or cycles. These cycles are very important when looking for the best deals.

For instance, this month was a great time to look for deals on things like ketchup, barbecue sauce, paper plates, etc. Along with looking for deals like these. You should also be on the lookout for great promotions on milk, turkey, candy, etc.

This is a great month for saving. Its an even better month for stocking up on items like the things listed above. This schedule just lets you know what coupons to look for and what deals to watch.
To find details on other months, click this link!

Another wonderful schedule is the coupon insert schedule. Its great to know what coupons will be in what paper and at what times. There are some holiday weekends that do not have coupon inserts. For me, its a waste to purchase my paper if there are no coupons inside. This may not ring true for others but at $3 a paper, I like the heads up.
Insert Schedule

If these schedules are not great enough, one of my favorite stores has a schedule you should watch out for on a weekly basis. I am a Tarjay lover! Yes Tarjay is Target!!! Target is a creature of habit and me being a creature of habit myself, I greatly appreciate this. I literally carry around their clearance schedule in my bag on a daily basis. If my kids were ever asked what they were wearing ....they would say Tarjay de Clearonse lol! Should you decide to carry the schedule as well, click here!
