Things have officially began to change around here. We have a daily blog, a forum, a nice logo, and weekly coupon inserts for our members. You will also find a freebie calendar that is out of this world. Freebies are added daily, including weekends. There is an announcement bar that keeps you informed on the latest information added to the Schmooze, how to find us on Twitter, and information on our Blogtalk radio show. If that is not enough, we have daily work at home leads, work at home information and education, links to companies who hire from home, and a live chat available all day everyday!
This is just the beginning so there is always something new at the Schmooze. We gear a lot of the savings posts toward local DFW sales but there is truly something for everyone. We have deal watch at major department stores and we welcome your input.
If we all get together and share what we have seen and what we know, there is nothing we can do. Working at home IS possible and we can help you do it! Just click on our message board icon and look for our daily list of work at home leads. To begin Schmoozing, just click on our new colorful logo provided by the Work at Home Mafia, where everyone is family! When you see the afro, its time to Schmooze!
How to Use a Coupon
Posted by: TRochelle in albertsons kroger, coupon, freebie, matchups, sales, work at home mafiaIf you guys are following TRochelle on Twitter then you know that there are a lot of companies actively hiring people to work from home. If not, its not hard. Look in the column on your right and find out what TRochelle is doing right now!
To help celebrate our Savvy Savings Side, I am giving a mini 101 on couponing. Lets begin. I went to the drugstore today to get some meds for my son and on the way out I noticed some ladies having a garage sale. At the garage sale she had brownie mix, Garnier Fructis, glucose monitors, the list went on and on. I just HAD to ask if she was a couponer. Well she told me she never leaves home without her binder! Turns out, she is a stockpiler like myself!
I said all this to say that I want you guys to see how she and I get the great deals. Let's take a random ad for example. I am not sure what stores are in your area but I live near a Kroger, Tom Thumb, Albertsons, Target, Walmart and a few other smaller chains.
Now that we have established what's near me, you should establish whats near you. Find out what stores you frequent and what they have on sale. This is easy. Just grab the store ad. This is the beginning of matching up coupons.
I am going to take something from my Albertsons and show you an example.
Kraft Barbecue Sauce $.99
If you have never done couponing then you might not have your own coupon so I will show you how to try this out without having to go and find a coupon in the paper.
There is a peelie on the Kraft Barbecue Sauce. A peelie is a peel off sticker on the item you want to purchase. This particular peelie says $.35 off. At my Albertsons they will triple any coupons up to $.39 and double any coupon up to $.50. This means our $.35 coupon just went from $.35 to $1.05 making our barbecue sauce free and we made 6 extra cents come off our grocery bill!
This is a good deal and we live for deals like this but they aren't always this great. That is why I keep binders full of coupons. I have mine separated into one binder for food and one for domestics. Inside each binder its separated by dividers. I have dividers for bread, meat, dairy, drinks, etc. It sounds like a lot of work but I bought really great binders over at the Work At Home Mafia and they came with the dividers and baseball card sleeves to hold the coupons. Now I can just flip to the designated area and grab the coupon on want when I see things on sale or on clearance. It makes matching up much easier.
I will post pictures if anyone is interested.
Let's match up one more coupon just for fun. This one will not be a freebie but will show you more about saving.
Kraft Salad Dressing is on sale for $1.69 at Kroger. There is a coupon for $1.50 off this item. You pay 19 cents for your salad dressing! How is that for savings. Just imagine how all those couponers are laughing at you when you pay full price. Think about that the next time you get in line and groan behind a couponer!
IMshopping Wants Your Questions

You will be paid (of course). You will be paid once you have reached $40. You MUST make $40 minimum to be paid. Payment will be received via Paypal, within 30 days of completion. If the promotion ends prior to you reaching $40, you will be paid what you have earned.
There is also an incentive for getting positive votes on your answers. After 15 days, the person with the most positive answers will win a cash prize! That should help stimulate your bank account. I know it would stimulate mine. For more information, click here!

Also, for all my adoring fans who were able to catch today's podcast:
STAR is an acronym for Situation or Task, Action You Took, and Results you achieved! STAR is a technique you can use to answer those tough interview questions. If a prospective employer asks a question, these are tips for answering those questions in the most effective manner. Think of these as Cliff Notes or Barron's....okay showing my age, let's get started:
Situation or Task: In this step explain to the employer a specific situation or task you had to complete in order to accomplish a specific goal. Give DETAILS and make sure its clear enough for employers to understand.
ACTION You Took: This is the time for you to BRAG! Tell the employer what actions you took to accomplish the for mentioned goal. You want to say what YOU did and not focus too much on others who might have helped you along the way. This is the time for you to be the SUPERHERO in the story so go for it!
Results You Achieved: In this step you can tell them how you saved the day, accomplished the major task, or learned from the Situation or Task in which you took Action to achieve the maximum Results!

House Party and Work at Home Leads
Posted by: TRochelle in bloggers, Internet Brands, rotel, the house party, translators, velveeta, work at home mafia, writerWe have all heard of Mary Kay parties, Avon parties, and Southern Living parties , but have you heard of The House Party? If you are anything like me you haven't.
The House Party is a website that lets you sign up for parties that are sponsored by a leading brand. The parties focus on things like new product, hit TV show, or worthy cause. It gives consumers the the ability to experience these items with friends.
Once you sign up on the website, you will receive email announcements linking to the online application. These emails are only sent when a new party is being launched. If an event catches your eye, fill out the application to be a host. They will review your application and respond upon completion. SPACES ARE LIMITED, not everyone will be chosen for every event they apply for but keep trying.
If you are chosen, you will get an email telling you step by step how to set up your party site. You will be told how to send email invitations to your guests, manage your RSVP’s, upload photos and videos, and how to join the national event party blog. There is also an area that teaches you how to gain access to great party resources.
Did I mention that its all free? A good friend of mine got a party kit that included Velveeta, Rotel tomatoes, and some of the nicest Velveeta containers when she had her House Party. Free cheese was enough for me so I am waiting to get in on the party too!

The Intro and More Work at Home Leads
Posted by: TRochelle in a full cup, blog talk live, bloggers, content writer, copy editor, copywriter, coupons refund cents, leads, short story writer, tutor, work at home, work at home mafiaIt has been a nice week this week. I got a shout out from the Mafia, I got a gang of coupons from my coupon fairy, found a new coupon buddy, got my Refund Cents Magazine and got to see my FREE ad for my blog, and started my podcast. I have done an intro show and talk about easy. BlogTalkLive is the bomb! It was as easy as talking on the phone. Maybe that's because I was talking on the phone. Either way, I had a lot of fun talking to the masses that I did not tell that I was going to do a podcast. I guess I will share some of my good fortune and go ahead and share my podcast. I know right, I am just too kind.
Believe it or not, there are actually people who do not know who T.Rochelle is and what this blog is all about. Its our duty to let them know that its..

I know it seems so mean but all my Frugal Folks members are going to be so proud of me when I am done. Speaking of proud, I wanted to share an awesome coupon podcast that I missed on Monday. Thank goodness Kim has a recording so we can listen later. She is truly a savings mentor for me. I think I will keep her around a little longer lol. Make sure you listen to all of her money saving tips because she even tells you how to get $75 worth of Old Navy items for absolutely FREE!
If you really listened to the podcast then I have a reward for you. I will give out one free _____. If you want to know what the freebie is then you will have to guess. Post a comment on either my blog or in the Deals and Coupons Section of the Work at Home Mafia and tell me which offer you think I will share. I will give you a hint: Kim mentioned this offer in her podcast. If you guess right then you are entered to win. If you guess wrong, keep guessing. (As an example, if you guessed that I am giving away a Porsche but I am really giving away a cup of coffee then you are not entered to win the prize. If you guessed a cup of coffee then you and every other person who guessed a cup of coffee will be in the running to win a cup of coffee.) There will only be one winner so listen now! I am counting on my Frugal Folks to win. This is only one of many prizes to come but please feel free to enter as many comments as you like, there is no limit on entries!

Work at Home and Join the Mafia?
Posted by: TRochelle in bloggers, chat, content writer, copy editor, coupons, essay edge, kaplan, mobcast, NCAA, quest diagnostics, quickbooks, work at home, work at home mafia, work at home. work from homeHave you ever wondered how to find work at home? I have to tell that a great support system is the best place to start. I truly believe that the key to finding and maintaining work at home is through the support of others on the same path.
I post job leads everyday and everyday I wonder if anyone is out there listening. Imagine if I was still looking for work. How lonely would it be to sit at home saying, "how do I start to work at home",and never get an answer? This is a true reality for many but it does not have to be. There are support systems called work at home forums, where people just like you are looking for work and there are people who are actually helping them find it. I know, I know, people helping people, what a novel idea. Its the same thing I do here, except on a much grander scale.
Let me introduce you to a site called Work at Home Mafia. Its run by a work at home person just like myself by the name of Kim Artlip. Kim is the Mafia Princess but wait, she isn't there to make you sleep with the fishes. She is a little more like Glenda the Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz. Kim posts 15-20 work at home leads everyday. She even has exclusive leads not found on any other message board or website`1 (believe me I checked).
The Work at Home Mafia is truly the MEGA MALL of the work at home world. There is a work at home forum, Mobcast, online store, freebies, contests, live chat, deals, and coupons posted daily! Would you like to know who has a coupon for $75 off a $100 purchase? You would have to join The Mafia to find out. You wouldn't want to go against the family, would you? Yeah I didn't think so, tell them T.Rochelle sent ya.
