As you guys all know, I (like many of you) have a blog. I am thinking of going forward with some serious marketing to get my name out. It got me to thinking about merchandising again. We touched on marketing when we discussed some good colors for marketing your website or brand. This time I want to discuss other ways to market your website or blog!

One way I was thinking of marketing my own blog was through the use of t-shirts, mousepads (send those to work with loved ones), cups, etc. This will get your name out and give your current followers a way to market for you and it won't cause you anything but some promotional items. This is a great way to get others to advertise for you for free!

If you are creative, you can have your logo placed on all kinds of promotional gear with catchy sayings. Imagine a t-shirt with a catch saying on it and in the corner of the back, your website or your logo. Its something people would not mind wearing and your information is not too intrusive so they would wear it anywhere.

Having your guests pay to view certain sections of your site is also a wonderful way to monetize your blog or website. For instance, let's say you have something that people will really want to know. Give them a preview of it and charge them to get more!

Donations are always a great way to make money on your site. If you love a site then its only natural to want to support them. People who believe in paying it forward will gladly support your cause.

Another way to market is to write a book. If people love what you have to say in your blog or website, they might want to see it in writing for those moments when they cannot get to a computer. This is a good method for a person who gives valuable information that might be great for the masses. You can self-publish through a company called Lulu. Who knows, you might be a great author and you don't even know it!

You could also get a sponsor! Imagine writing about something that you picked from a list and naturally writing about it, once you have written about it and inserted the necessary links, you get paid! Now imagine no more. These are called sponsored posts. Sponsored posts can bring in a nice amount of extra income.

I know what you are thinking, links would be useful. If that is your thought then maybe I might be able to market after all. I have just drawn you in and made you want to tune in tomorrow for more elaboration of some of these topics!

Keeping in line with all my working at home on a budget tips, I wanted to shed light on GOOGLE Documents. Have you ever wanted to create a spreadsheet, but you do not have the necessary software? Just today, I shared an online calendar with a friend. This type of scheduling coordination can be key when working at home. You are not limited to the amount of people who can see your documents. This gives you the freedom to collaborate and brain storm with others (in real time).

There is no reason to get upset because you left a very important document on your computer at home, you can access these documents form anywhere! Others can access your work from anywhere as well. You can also publish your documents as a web page! I belong to a coupon club that uses this method and its extremely convenient for me. I can just send the link to where I am going and never have to enter my passwords in atmospheres that I do not feel are comfortable.

Being a writer at heart, imagine my delight when I saw a ton of writing jobs available for those who want to work at home. I figured I would share my tip on submitting writing submissions.

When submitting a story for submission, its important to format properly. Following submission guidelines is one thing, but there are a few tips you should follow to make sure you are on the right path.

Cover letters are important. Its highly important to write a cover letter for your submission detailing a biographical history or a brief synopsis of the story you are submitting.

Publishers do not want the feeling that you are a machine that can only follow directions. You want to make sure your submission has life.

In the top left margin, enter your name, address, phone number, and email address as a header on each page.

In the top right margin, enter your word count. This lets the publisher know that you were conscientious of the guidelines set forth and your word count.

Use a spreadsheet to detail all of your submissions. Excel is a fantastic tool. List the name of the story, list the date submitted, and catalog the responses when you get them. Another option for those who do not have Excel, is GOOGLE spreadsheets.

I am sure that i have been sorely missed lately, but I am back to stay. I have been out shopping and getting all my coupon stuff together. Let's talk about how to recognize positive attributes to convey in a cover letter. It sounds quite technical but we all have a positive attribute. We just need to know how to convey the message to the employer. The best place to convey this message is in a cover letter.

How? That is easy. I will give you some examples of your hidden attributes.

A person who has to schedule many events (kid's sport's practices and events etc.) would be a good scheduler or coordinator. You would need to be confident enough to put that information in your cover letter. You could put that you were extremely organized and possess excellent coordinating and scheduling skills. Its true. Our activities outside of the workforce are equally as relevant as our activities performed in the workforce. If you have volunteered, the tasks completed during volunteer work is resume worthy as well as cover letter worthy. Never leave experiences out of a cover letter.

If you worked in the fast food industry, then you have done customer service. Albeit face to face, working in fast food is still customer service or customer relations. You will also want to note your ability to do ten key. Your keystrokes may not be tops but the fact that you can do ten-key just adds to your ability to brag.

Have you ever taught Sunday school? Well maybe you should think about what you did when you were teaching. You have taught a group of people and that number of people is important. Equally important is the time you spend teaching your own children. This kind of experience could get you a tutoring job working from home.

Never discount life experience. Life experience is key when attempting to find work. Knowing what you have done creates a path for you will do in the future. Just like bad work experience can follow you, so can the good stuff. Never leave off important life experience. You may not type 75wpm but you can type so put that your cover letter. Let the employer know that you may work at home but you work well with others and you are a team player. Inform them of how excellent a communicator you are and how you convey messages well. Employers love an employee or contractor that can communicate on multiple levels.

If you do not have a Paypal account yet, get one. You will find that there are a lot of jobs out there that pay via Paypal. Now, here is how to send an invoice via Paypal:

• Click Request Money
• Just below the Request Money tab you will notice an option that says Create An Invoice
• You will now see a box that tells you to Select a Template.
• If this is your first time, you will be creating a New Invoice
• Enter all the necessary information. This will take seconds. If you are selling something and you want to add tax and shipping then that is an option, if you are just requesting money for services rendered then you will ignore that portion.
• Click Continue, verify that your information is correct and Submit!

You will receive a receipt upon completion. Now just sit and wait on your money!
