Marketing 101 tells us that people view things with their eyes and use eyes first to make a decision. Its been tested and proved that colors like red and yellow are great colors for people who are selling food because those colors make consumers hungry. It seems pretty ridiculous but its true. Why do you think those golden are more like yellow? You know what color ketchup is so I mean that's a given, right.
What colors work for your business? If you want your customers to feel like they are in a clean sterile environment and you want them to remain calm, white is the color for you. For serious, bold, authoritative, dramatic effects, you will want to use black (it has always worked for me lol). Gold is equally classy and suggests wealth. I do not suggest overdoing it because excessive amounts of gold can be a little overbearing and arrogant. Blue can be a tricky color. Although darker shades of blue are bold and strong colors that let a consumer know you know what you are doing and you are experienced and prosperous, lighter shades can be seen as clean and refreshing but too much can imply weakness. Colors like gray and silver are very conservative colors that imply that you are focused and goal oriented as well as goal driven. You believe in traditional methods. Speaking of traditional, green is the color of money and usually represents wealth, but it also can calm a consumer as well as represent jealousy (green with envy get it get it). Orange can excite the consumer and make them feel that they can afford whatever you are selling even though its somewhat pricey. Accompany this with some pink and your sells could increase rapidly. Pink represents innocence and a sense of wellness. Dark purple has always been a sign of royalty and wealth. Light purple on the other hand is much like pink and its romantic and alluring. Brown is a trustworthy color and makes people feel that you are solid and trustworthy. Finally red and yellow are next. Red makes the consumer anxious, hungry, passionate, and broke. What if there was an alternative to data entry? There is but most people are set for data entry and they do not look at the other alternatives. Well I have several options for those who cannot work in a quiet environment and this is just one of many.
Caption Colorado is hiring again guys. It seems that a lot of you are not making it to the leads sections, so I decided to share this information in the tips so that I can get this information to the masses.

When was the last time you went to Chili's? It had been a while for me so when I received my Buzz Agent pack telling me all about the Guiltless Menu, I figured why not. What is a Buzz Agent? A Buzz Agent is a person who helps to market via word of mouth. You join the Buzz Agent site and join campaigns for all kinds of products. Once you have joined the campaign you are sent a packet of informative material that tells you all about the product. You could also get a free sample of the product as well as ........COUPONS! Yes Buzz Agent supports us couponers. They support us so much that they recently sent me a few coupons to use at Chilis.
Since I am a Buzz Agent they sent enough coupons for me and 4 other friends. This coupon gets us something from the new Chili's Guiltless Menu. I will admit that I try to get healthy but um not so much so. I really do try but then I look on my shoulder and there sits a wonderful stick of butter. Well I decided I will knock the butter off my shoulder and go for it. I wanted to see what all the healthy folks were talking about.
I took my husband and two friends. The Guiltless Menu is still building itself up, but when I went I had the grilled chicken sandwich. I think it needs a little bit of honey mustard. I am going through butter withdrawal so what do I know. My husband had the honey mustard salmon. OMG if I hear about the perfectly cooked salmon and its flaky juicy texture and how it was cooked to perfection.....one more time.... my husband may be sleeping with the fishes! I love when my husband enjoys his food but he keeps going on and on. It did not help that our friends had the salmon and the carne asada steak. You can guess what my good friend felt about the salmon (drool drool drool). The report on the carne asada steak was great as well. Its so tender its not dry and boy would this be great with some garlic mashed potatoes. Yes we were all tempted to get guilty but after our meals we were all a bit full. No one asked for anything else. The food was great and I even kept an extra coupon so I can reward another friend with a trip out!

Voila! I am done. This is a week of shopping. This is a few trips to different Walgreens, 3 bottles of Listerine, 6 boxes of Excedrin, 15 boxes of Sambucol (gave some away before the picture), 60 bottles of Fructis (gave some too), 168 boxes of Colgate, and 21 Glade Lasting Impressions. Oh yes, and all for free! The only thing I bought was 2 Thingamajig candy bars at each store for $0.50 a piece, but they were unfortunately unable to make the photo. They are so addictive!!!!

I repeated the same steps with the Colgate but with a manufacturer coupon for $1.50 off one tube of toothpaste that I found for $1. This gave me a $0.50 profit so I used it to buy things like the Excedrin and the Listerene. I repeated these steps for all these items and I did really well. I have been recouping from the mega sales over the weekend so my apologies for not posting. I just knew I needed to gather as much stuff as I could before I showed you some of my savings photos. I am serious about being frugal. I figure the best way to teach awareness is to lead by example. I am going to show you all how to live life frugally. I will also give you chances to enjoy the fruits of my frugality. I will be giving away free prizes as our journey continues.
Before I get too into our journey, lets talk about working at home for a moment. I always tell you that there are jobs out there but now I want to tell you how to search on your own. Message boards are always a good start with any job search but a lot of the work needs to be done by you. If you find a company that you have deemed questionable, Google it. Google is your friend. It will help you find all the information on a job you can possibly find. I will give you an example:
WESTatHome is the name of our questionable company. The site looks very professional but lets keep looking. Search Google for WESTatHome. Now change the search to West at Home scam, still good? Perfect! Do not stop there, search their website for a hiring section. If they are hiring for the same job on their website then you know you have a legit company and West is a legit company.
Now try this with envelope stuffing or rebate processing. Its not pretty. It is also not legitimate work and can land you in jail with a felony on your record.

Have you ever wondered how to find work at home? I have to tell that a great support system is the best place to start. I truly believe that the key to finding and maintaining work at home is through the support of others on the same path.
I post job leads everyday and everyday I wonder if anyone is out there listening. Imagine if I was still looking for work. How lonely would it be to sit at home saying, "how do I start to work at home",and never get an answer? This is a true reality for many but it does not have to be. There are support systems called work at home forums, where people just like you are looking for work and there are people who are actually helping them find it. I know, I know, people helping people, what a novel idea. Its the same thing I do here, except on a much grander scale.
Let me introduce you to a site called Work at Home Mafia. Its run by a work at home person just like myself by the name of Kim Artlip. Kim is the Mafia Princess but wait, she isn't there to make you sleep with the fishes. She is a little more like Glenda the Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz. Kim posts 15-20 work at home leads everyday. She even has exclusive leads not found on any other message board or website`1 (believe me I checked).
The Work at Home Mafia is truly the MEGA MALL of the work at home world. There is a work at home forum, Mobcast, online store, freebies, contests, live chat, deals, and coupons posted daily! Would you like to know who has a coupon for $75 off a $100 purchase? You would have to join The Mafia to find out. You wouldn't want to go against the family, would you? These are just a few of the many lies they use to scam those who work at home. Its a million if not billion dollar industry. There is money in scams but there is also jail time. You could face jail time for following their instructions and "scammers" could possibly go free. Its not fair but it is a harsh reality. Drain Cleaner
To keep drains clean and clear, prevention is the best solution.
Once a month:
Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain followed by 1/2 cup of vinegar and cover the drain. This solution will foam and fizzle so don't worry about that. Let it sit for 30 minutes and then run cool water down the drain.

Remember how our grandparents' grandparents' grandparents' use to survive? I am sure you don't since you were not around then but I think you get the point. Our ancestors survived off so much less and seemed to do so much more!
I know I know...different economy different situations........ but the goal is pretty much the same! We all want to take care of our families and pay our bills. We can do this without being slaves to our failing economy.
How:
We buy bread, but did you know that you can make your own bread for (well for me because I am a cheap bargain hunter that buys in bulk) $0.20 a loaf! Now prices will vary depending on where you buy your ingredients but the the ingredients are really basic. I bought a bread machine on Craigslist and with bread, cinnamon rolls, pizza dough, and biscuit dough, I made my money back a looooooooooong time ago!
How about making your own jelly? Jelly is not cheap but you could make your own jelly and save big! Now this site has pictures but if you are too busy for all that grape mashing and cheese cloth...you can go the cheater cheater pumpkin eater route like i do and buy 100% Grape Juice (or whatever juice you prefer apple, etc.) and make your jelly that way! This is another wonderful site with pictures.
Now for those who want the recipe without the grapes (pictures included), I highly suggest taking notes.
Okay, enough about jelly...what else can you do yourself that does not depend on the modern market? Maybe make Peanut Butter? Lets face it...everyone does not like that stuff when its all natural but its very expensive in the store and it makes super duper peanut butter cookies! If you don't believe me, make a batch with Jif (since they are on the safe list right now) and a batch with the homemade stuff. I guarantee the natural batch is best.
Enough of all that cooking...let's talk barter and trade! Yes I am too excited about all this...but pay attention! You could start a garden and trade your tomatoes for your neighbor's pear peppers! You could trade your homemade jelly for their spiced up honey peanut butter! We are quick to throw money at things nowadays...whether it be a problem, something we want, our children, or even something as serious as our health (trust me people can be foolish)! Let's not throw money out the door when we can just utilize those around us.
What does this have to do with working at home? EVERYTHING! We do all of this talking in blogs, but we do not use the same thought in everyday life! We network, utilize each other for info on new scams and job leads, help each other with recipes, and tips for organization, and we share our thoughts, and business ideas but how about sharing our natural abilities with those we love. This helped our ancestors and although it looks a little different its still the same. We can do the same thing now and not just online but out in the world as well.
Still wondering how this ties into working at home? Easy! Don't overload your calendar with working and you can take that free time and make and barter things that will save and make you money. Clear as mud? We are talking business here people. When you make jelly, you might make 8 jars and out of those 8 jars you could keep 2 and the rest could be bartered for something you need or even sold to make more money! Get paid doing something you always do...that's the theme for the day. Make 5 gallons of detergent and sell them in pickle jars for $3 a piece depending on the size of the jars! It doesn't cost much to make it and you will be doing something you need to do for yourself anyway! Its a win win situation and you can make money without the stress of deadlines. People say its a bad time to start your own business but that truly depends on the kind of business it is! We could all use a way to save some money so take your money saving tips and turn them into savings for others and cash in your pocket! You do not have to call it a business right now, just make something and get the ball rolling .....the money will soon follow!
